How Mountain Call makes decisions

Mountain Call combines snow and weather forecasts, weather station readings, resort and lift updates, the character of each mountain, travel from where you are staying, and how you like to ride.

Mountains are compared with a defined set of checks and rules. A mountain that fails a basic check, such as being too far to drive, is not recommended however good it looks. Software helps process and present information, but no AI is allowed to pick a mountain outside these rules or invent information.

Forecasts disagree, stations go quiet and resorts do not always report. When something important is missing, old or uncertain, Mountain Call says so and shows how confident it is, instead of filling the gap. A Call can change as new information arrives.
