Terms of Use

Mountain Call is a planning and decision-support tool for skiers and snowboarders in Japan. It compares mountains using snow, weather, terrain, lift, travel and rider information. Mountain Call helps with the choice. You make the decision.

Mountains and weather change. We cannot guarantee snowfall, snow quality, weather, visibility, road conditions, lift operation, terrain availability, resort opening, travel time or how your day turns out.

Information from weather services, resorts and other sources can be late, incomplete or wrong. Webcams can be unavailable or out of date. Forecasts change, and Mountain Call may change a recommendation as new information arrives.

Drive times are estimates. They are not live traffic or route guidance and do not tell you whether a road is open or safe.

Before you act, check current resort notices, lift status, road information, weather warnings and local authority advice.

Mountain Call does not provide avalanche forecasts, backcountry or off-piste safety advice, medical advice, mountain guiding or emergency services. Do not rely on it for backcountry or off-piste safety decisions. In an emergency in Japan, call 119 or 110.

• Mountain Call is intended for people aged 16 and older.
• Give accurate information and keep your password secure.
• Use Mountain Call for your own personal planning.
• Do not misuse, scrape, overload or try to break into the service.
• We may suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect Mountain Call or other riders.
• You can delete your account at any time from the account page.

Mountain Call is currently free. If that changes, we will tell you clearly before anything costs money.

The Mountain Call name, product and content belong to Mountain Call.

Resort names and logos may be trademarks of their owners. Resort photographs are used under their own licences, listed on Photo credits. Trail maps and webcams belong to their rights holders, and weather and map data belong to their providers. Showing a resort does not mean it sponsors or endorses Mountain Call.

We work to keep Mountain Call running, but it may sometimes be unavailable. We may change or remove features and update these terms. If a change is important we will let you know.

Mountain Call is provided to help you plan, and decisions about where and how to ride are yours. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on information in Mountain Call. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

These terms are governed by the law of New Zealand. This does not take away any consumer or statutory rights you have where you live that cannot be excluded.
